What started out as a small group of friends singing together on occasion, has turned into a large friendly mixed choir with a varied repertoire. In 1996 they became officially known as The Bare Necessities, a name referring to the Disney movie “Jungle Book”. With bear Balou as their mascot they like to call themselves The Bears.
For over 20 years now they’ve been entertaining their audience with polyphonic music: close harmony, musical, pop, jazz,... Aside from the two annual concerts hosted in their hometown Bruges, the choir also performs as guest act and loves to engage in all kind of music events or productions.
Along with their conductor Yentl Vanderiviere the bears are sure to give you an entertaining performance. For them, mother nature’s recipe is as follows : great music with a little extra touch of acts, choreo and above all smiles!
The “bears” will come to you! Yeah!
