Siparantum Choir is one of the most knows choirs in Kosovo’s music scene. The choir was founded in 2017 by the free will of citizens from different areas of Kosovo and different categories regardless of age, gender, race, religion, and social status, with the same dream and commitment: to give love, trust, and hope by singing all those who believe in the better future of the world. Siparantum has successfully performed works of world-famous composers, from the Renaissance to contemporary music such as Bach, Mozart, Whitacre, Preisner, Runestad, Rabe, Rudi, Mengjiqi, Alickaj, etc., enriched with attractive choreography.
The choir has been conducted by the well-known Croatian composer and conductor, Josip Degl ’Ivellio, performing numerous performances with Siparantum Choir and has built artistic collaborations in Italy, Croatia, and Kosovo. The choir today in the artistic structure consists of solo performers, children’s choir, women’s choir, men’s choir, and mixed choir. Siparantum has been recognized by many critics throughout Kosovo and the world. The choir has a close collaboration with the well-known Kosovar pianist Agron Shujaku. In May 2018 was chosen to be part of the International Choir Festival "Nancy Voix Du Monde" - France, Kosovo participated for the first time in this festival. In France, Siparantum appeared in these popular places; Le Temple Protestant De Nancy, Héré, Grands Salons de Ville, Lunéville, Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation Saint-Sigisbert, to continue the concert tour in Hrvatski Glazbeni Zavod at the festival «Emil Cossetto», in the concert hall of the museum Mimara, Zagreb - Croatia. In March 2019, the choir performed at the Chiesa di San Salvatore and Basilica di San Antonio - Pontificia Universitá Antonianum, Rome, in which its performance was highly praised by music critics. The Siparantum choir successfully performed at many cultural activities and music festivals such as; DAM, ReMusica, Prishtina International Choir Festival, International Festival of Women's Choirs "Lira", Serious Albanian Music Scene-Tetovo, North Macedonia, Teho International Choir Festival, North Macedonia, St. FrancisChurch- Shkodra, Albania.
For the first time, it was selected at the international choir festival of Europe "International Choir Contest Flanders 2019" which was held in Ghenk, Belgium, in which it was honored with the special award "Honorable Mention". As part of the IKV Flanders festival, Siparantum Choir held a choral concert in the C-mine, Genk hall together with the Hobo & Fagot Ensemble and Sax Ensemble, Balletschool Veronique Lenaers, Siparantum, Genk. It is worth mentioning the concert of the Siparantum choir at the Eglise de l’abbaye Notre Dame de La Cambre, Brussels, a concert which was highly praised by well-known critics of world music. Now Siparantum Choir is part of the latest CD of "International Choir Contest, Flanders 2019" among other participating choirs. The Siparantum Choir has recently been part of the festival at the “69th European Music Festival for Young People”, Neerpelt.
The permanent choir pianist is Agron Shujaku with whom the choir has been collaborating for several years now. For 3 years now, the choir has also formed the children's choir, Siparantum Kids, with which it has had successful performances, and recently the children's performance has been highly praised in meetings within INTERKULTUR. At the end of the year, the first CD with the children's choir will be released. The Siparantum Choir has been selected for the first time in the biggest choir competitions of the World Choir Games 2021. This opportunity came as a result of the tireless work of the permanent conductor of Siparantum Choir, Memli Kelmendi which is a Member of the World Choir Games Council, who represents Kosovo for the first time. All this as a successful result of voluntary-intensive work just to inspire positively with the sole purpose, the representation of Albanian culture in different countries of the world.
